Roy Donald
As you all know Roy is a China Marine having served there in 1945 and 1946 in A Company special engineer Bat. 1st Mar/Regt 1st Mar/Div
F.M.F.
Roy is a charter member of this Detachment and is at the top of the Devil Dog food chain. He has served as Detachment Commandant many times and has held the office of State Commandant in 1964 and 1965.
Roy was awarded the Marine of the year 2002 award at the January 2003 Detachment meeting, and he is a member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion, China Burma Marines, 1st Mar/Div Association. And a graduate of PI. Roy served on Okinawa in April of 1945 with the 1st Mar/Div FMF during WWII.
Roy has 6 children 4 boys and two girls and resides at; 524 North Okemos Road in Mason MI. Roy will hopefully be home in March and if you guys can, stop out and see him. If you can’t give him a call at 517-676- 4012.
