From the Temporary Commanding Officer, Marine Phil Zamora:
Marines, Navy Corpsman, and Associate members of the
Capital Detachment:
Two years ago we started talking about starting up a
Young Marines unit in the Lansing area,
at one time
there was a Marine Cadet unit that was sponsored by the Capital Detachment,
there
were
problems that were voiced to us when we started talking about this venture, well
the time for talking about starting this unit has ended, myself and a handful of
Marines are taking this venture on we will take all the concerns to heart when we
get this going, after all this isn't just known as the Young Marines it is known
as the Young Marines of the Marine Corps League, This is our
organization not just another kids organization.
We are still looking for a few
Adult instructors, below is a list of needs with the first being the most
important so please call me if you would like to join, you must pass a backround
check and furnish 3 letters of reference.
